The Purple Sheep Social Club

Our Wednesday social club was started to provide a meeting place where our service users can see their friends and engage with peers from their community. It has since grown into a thriving hub of games and fun where attendees can relax and socialise with support close by.

We have a variety of regular games and entertainment pursuits available, including;

  • Colouring in, drawing or crafting
  • Playstation and Wii
  • Table tennis
  • Table football
  • Board games, Top Trumps, cards, dominoes etc.
  • Football or other ball games outside when the sun shines
  • Kitchen for cookery
  • Stereo with CD player to share DJing duties

In addition, the club frequently plays host to one-off events of interest – in the past we have had demonstrations of circus skills, animal visits from our staff members’ pet snakes, dogs and chickens, Mario Kart tournaments, birthday parties and special celebration meals such as Christmas dinner and pancake day, to name a few.

Information For Non-Burley Attendees

The social club is open to people of all ages, and all service providers are welcome. If you can travel by yourself you do not need a support worker to accompany you to the club, however if you are not an independent traveller you will need to bring your own support with you.

The club is open every Wednesday from 12.30pm - 3.30pm, and is free to attend. Complimentary tea, coffee and squash is available for attendees and support taff. Find us at the address below, or call us on 01934 611 542 for more information.
